Early Head Start

The Goal: To prepare children for success as they transition to preschool and beyond.
Our program utilizes the research-based Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers, which can be tailored to each child in order to both address needs and build on strengths. Through meaningful activities that are a match for each child’s stage of development, children are encouraged to explore, discover and gain confidence in their abilities.
Parents: The FIRST Teachers
Because we know that parents are the primary educators of their children, we urge them to take an active role in their child’s education. Through Family Partnership Agreements, we encourage parents to set goals for personal and family growth. Parent conferences and home visits provide additional opportunities for parents to gain a deeper understanding of their child’s development as well as to set educational goals for their child(ren).
Health First
We assist parents in making sure their child is up to date on Baby Well Checks, as recommended by the Early and Periodic, Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) schedule. We also work to ensure each child has a medical home, dental exam and vision and hearing screenings. And while in Early Head Start, children receive nourishing meals and snacks in accordance with USDA guidelines.
It’s never too early to get your child ready for school—and life!
